is it true that property can be sold and bought thru tax deeds ? delinquent tax property..?

I would like to get involved in tax leins and tax deeds investing. has anyone been successful in this venture ?

2. In my state, California, if you do not pay your property taxes for five years, the county tax collector will offer your property for public auction. Most property gets redeemed before the sale but some does get auctioned.
